Self-care is recognizing and prioritizing the relationship that you have with yourself.

2. Wake up early

Getting up early gives you time to focus on yourself without any distractions. There are only 24 hours in a day which are mostly spent taking care of other things but yourself. Take advantage of the peace and quiet and take time back for you.

3. Make your bed

It might be a little thing but making your bed helps give you a sense of accomplishment. If you can take care of the little things, you can take care of the big things. Even if you have a bad day, at least you have a clean bed to fall back into.

4. Meditate

5. Avoid your phone

Music can inspire you and change your mood. Listen to music that will help give you the energy to power you through the day. Feel free to dance yourself into a happy mood.

7. Drink water

8. Move your body

Whether it’s a full body workout routine, yoga or a light walk, moving your body in the morning enhance your metabolism, help you to sleep better and wake your body up for the day. You’ll be feeling the rush of happy endorphins all throughout your day.

9. Have breakfast

Breakfast is called “the most important meal of the day” for a reason. Eating a healthy breakfast starts your metabolism and burns off calories to give you the energy needed for the day.

10. Manifest

Visualize yourself living the life that you want. Your thoughts, feelings and energy all work towards your benefit if you allow it. Ernest Hemingway describes it best that “today is only one day in all the days that will ever be. But what will happen in all the other days that ever come can depend on what you do today.”

You might not care for the morning but remember to always care for yourself. Create your self-care morning routine and start living first thing in the morning.
